This beautiful spring wedding took place in urban Omaha. The ceremony was at historic St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church with a modern twist for the reception at The Slowdown Indie Rock Club. Kelsie and David chose to have a traditional ceremony but they wanted the reception to be an incredible dance party. They hired DJ Gordon A. from Major Musiq Entertainment out of Chicago and he had everyone dancing non-stop! Dream Big Events helped Kelsey in the planning and they did a fantastic job blending together the urban feel along with the traditional parts of the wedding. Kelsey wore a beautiful lace gown from Bridal Traditions and her bridesmaids found all of their dresses at David’s Bridal. The flower wreaths they all carried were DIY made by Kelsey’s mom. Everything about this day was elegant and most of all fun!
St. Francis Cabrini is located in historic Omaha and is over 100 yrs. old, this church has so much character and is beautifully preserved. After the ceremony the bridal party headed to the historic Benson area to Krug Park bar, where the couple first met. We hung out and had some drinks, for a short time Kesey, David and I walked a few blocks to Hardy Coffee for a few fun photos and then back to Krug’s to sit in the location where they met - it was so meaningful with so many memories to relive. When we arrived at the Slowdown the dance party was ready to begin and everyone danced until they couldn't dance anymore (even my husband and I danced a little-how could we not:) Congrats Kelsey and David your day was one of the best!
